Our Mission
The West End Alumni Fund is a non-profit charitable organization that provides grants to high school students who wish to compete at the collegiate level
The West End Alumni Fund is a 501(c)(3) non -profit organization that provides grants to high school graduates who wish to continue their sport at the collegiate level.
In order to achieve our mission, we:
Collect monetary donations for prospective collegiate student-athlete in the form of grants
Connect with high school student-athletes across the United States and expand support for our mission
Serve as mentors to West End Alumni Fund grant recipients, providing guidance throughout their collegiate career.
The founding members of the WEAF habitually met at the West End Bar & Grill in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. The lunch meeting was a great way to catch up and share a few laughs with fellow alum of Trinity College before returning to their busy workdays. Amidst the conversations about the latest developments in their lives, how the Bantams were doing and what lunch dish they would order this time around, the idea of the West End Alumni Fund was born. It was a natural progression from the team’s conversations around their fortuitous paths through life thus far. Someone, at some point, took a chance on each of the members of the fund and allowed them to change their lives through education and athletics. With the establishment of the fund, the team is looking to pay their good fortune forward.
There is no donation too small to aid our cause. We hope that with your contribution and ongoing participation in the WEAF, we will continue to afford opportunities to worthy student-athletes.
